The Labour Court found that Pery Square Staff Agency Ltd dismissed a temporary legal secretary without giving her a full opportunity to address a complaint. It held the dismissal procedurally unfair and, on 6 April 2005, recommended an ex-gratia payment of €350 in full and final settlement. The Court also considered that the worker had contributed significantly to the events leading to her dismissal by acting inappropriately in the matter raised by the agency’s client. The worker had sought reinstatement and said she had not been given a chance to answer the complaint.
