The Labour Court made no recommendation on Examiner Publications’ offer to increase the entry point and next two pay-scale points for lower-level journalists. The recommendation was dated 23 March 2005. The National Union Of Journalists had sought changes to pay for lower-level journalists. The Court said the integrity of the December 2003 pay agreement should be upheld and that there was a significant difference between the parties. It said it would revisit the issues if both parties requested it.
