Labour Court recommends Enterprise Ireland offer in pay-scale dispute

The Labour Court recommended that Enterprise Ireland’s offer be accepted in a dispute over pay-scale arrangements for Senior Scientific Officers. The recommendation, dated 14 February 2005, followed a rehearing on how to address an anomaly between that grade and the Level E Solution grade. Amicus argued that the proposed approach would reduce the benefit of the earlier recommendation and leave some staff outside its coverage. The Court found management’s proposal adequately reflected that earlier recommendation and said there was no reason to revise it.
