Labour Court recommends An Post and union address pay and work-practice disputes

The Labour Court recommended that An Post and the Communication Workers Union begin a process under the Sustaining Progress agreement to address the company’s claim that it could not pay outstanding increases. The recommendation was dated 8 February 2005. The Court also recommended an inclusive process to address proposed changes to collection and delivery work practices. A technical group was to work with the parties for up to 13 weeks and report to the Court by 6 May 2005. The Court said it would issue definitive recommendations after receiving the group’s report.
