The Labour Court recommended acceptance of PJ Carroll's proposed redundancy package for two employees, subject to three months' pay in lieu of notice for each. The Services Industrial Professional Technical Union had sought improved terms after the employees were deemed unsuitable for new roles following restructuring. The Court said the recommendation reflected the circumstances and was not intended to set a precedent. It was signed on 26 January 2005.
