The Labour Court recommended that Johnson And Johnson (Ireland) Limited accept and implement an assessor’s proposals to resolve a worker’s dispute over alleged marginalisation and harassment. The worker had sought promotion, restored responsibilities, training and a €30,000 annual salary increase or equivalent pay.
The company relied on an independent investigation that rejected the allegations. The Court considered the assessor’s investigation thorough and the proposals a fair and balanced basis for resolving the dispute, and recommended that the parties implement them within the proposed timeframe. The recommendation was signed on 7 January 2005.
