The Labour Court did not recommend that Lakeshore Productions Ltd concede the unions’ claim for travel and other expenses for work at Ardmore Studios. The recommendation was signed on 23 December 2004. The Court found Ardmore Studios was the construction crew’s work base for the film “Blackwater lightship”. The Services Industrial Professional Technical Union and Building and Allied Trades Union said Sandyford Industrial Estate had been the base and sought allowances under their agreement for work at Ardmore. The company said Ardmore was the designated base, Sandyford had been temporary, and expenses had been paid for work there.
