In 2004, the Labour Court recommended Beaumont Hospital's offer, amended to provide a €1,500 lump sum for each Clinical Nurse Manager 1 in its intensive care unit, conditional on an agreed roster being in place. The recommendation was signed on 20 December 2004. The Irish Nurses Organisation had sought upgrades for four posts to Clinical Nurse Manager 2, with salary retrospection from January 2001. Beaumont Hospital proposed revised rosters and a €500 payment. The Court recommended its roster, or an alternative agreed roster meeting the clinical and managerial requirements of the role, from 1 January 2005.
