Labour Court recommends 1.5% potential annual performance increases at Diageo site

In 2004, the Labour Court recommended retaining Diageo Global Supply (Guinness Ireland)’s 3% base offer for 31 staff seeking a grade beyond Grade C, while recommending potential annual individual performance increases of 1.5% from 2006. The Services Industrial Professional Technical Union sought 7%; the company said its 3% offer, alongside national pay increases, was fair. The Court cited the effect on groups across the site, concessions made during negotiations and competitiveness. The recommendation said individual earning potential could rise from 3% to 4.5% by 2008. It was dated 14 December.
