The Labour Court did not recommend conceding the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union’s claim for pay parity with local-authority craft rates for four maintenance workers at the Great Southern Hotel Killarney. The recommendation was signed on 15 November 2004. The Court said the hotel’s maintenance department had not been covered by the process that led to the agreement at issue. It recommended further discussions to find a mutually acceptable way to address pay anomalies.
