The Labour Court recommended that Irish National Stud offer an unnamed worker employment in sequence for the 2005 season and pay her €2,500 in full and final settlement. The recommendation was signed on 26 October 2004. The worker, represented by the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union, sought re-employment in her former seasonal role after maternity leave and compensation for lost earnings. The company said seasonal employees ceased to be employed at the end of each season. The Court found she was unfairly treated when she was not recalled in sequence to her former job. It also noted that she had declined an alternative position.
