The Labour Court recommended on 19 July 2004 that Veha Radiators Ltd and Amicus-AEEU meet in September to renegotiate the sick-pay scheme, with a view to improving it. The existing scheme paid €75 gross per day for up to two sick days in a rolling 12-month period. Amicus-AEEU had sought changes including a week on full pay and a calendar-year basis.
