The Labour Court recommended phased increases under Sustaining Progress for 32 Car Transport Limited drivers represented by the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union. It recommended a 3% rise retrospectively from 1 September 2003, a 2% rise retrospectively from 1 June 2004, a further 2% from 1 December 2004, and any follow-on agreement from 1 March 2005. The recommendation was dated 21 June 2004. The Court said it was not satisfied with the company’s view of the pay terms agreed in 2001 and considered increases since then minor.
