Labour Court sets out relocation payment options for Horse Racing Ireland staff

Place: no local area assigned from the source.

The Labour Court recommended that Horse Racing Ireland staff transferred temporarily from the Curragh to Kill accept one of two compensation options: a €3,000 gross payment, or €2,500 gross with a further €1,000 gross in 2006. The recommendation was signed on 8 March 2004. The union, Mandate, said staff had been guaranteed their existing conditions and a Curragh location, and faced extra travel costs and the lack of a canteen. Horse Racing Ireland said the temporary move was needed to centralise operations and address limited office space, and that it was willing to reach a compensation arrangement.
