The Labour Court recommended that National Car Testing Services Limited and Agemo appoint an agreed independent assessor to define standard performance and measure throughput. The recommendation was dated 3 February 2004. Agemo sought a €5,000 payment for each centre-based member, a weekly bonus of €75 for vehicle inspectors and €100 per fortnight for each additional vehicle placed on the eight-hour schedule. National Car Testing Services said a bonus should be based on additional vehicles tested using its standard performance measure. The Court recommended that the parties discuss the assessor's findings and try to agree output and performance levels for a productivity and gainsharing scheme.
