The Labour Court recommended that the University Of Limerick continue a contractual 10% salary allowance for one senior officer, but rejected the same salary-relativity claim for two others. The recommendation was dated 9 June 2003. Three senior officers sought to retain salary arrangements based on professorial salaries plus 10%. The Court found the allowance in one officer’s contract was outside the terms of the salary review, so recommended paying it under the contract. For the other two, the Court said the review had set their salaries knowing their existing relationship with professors and found no grounds to preserve that relationship individually.
