In 2003, the Labour Court recommended that Arnotts and Mandate resolve a dispute over the 1% Programme for Prosperity and Fairness lump sum. The Court recommended applying the 1% to 52 weeks of weekly pay on 1 April 2002 for employees with less than a year's service. It said commission did not qualify for the calculation because basic pay was pay to which increases under national agreements had been applied. The recommendation was dated 7 May 2003.
