Labour Court recommends discussions on Youghal crèche supervisor’s pay claim

In 2003, the Labour Court recommended that Youghal Family Resource Centre and the Irish Municipal, Public And Civil Trade Union discuss the basis of a crèche supervisor’s pay claim and the comparisons made. The union sought the rate paid to comparable crèche supervisors and the application of national pay agreements. The Court noted disagreement over the worker’s role and the organisation used for comparison. The centre cited staff hours, paid holidays and limited funding. The recommendation was dated 13 March 2003.
