In 2003, the Labour Court recommended that Securicor Omega Express identify the overtime loss of eight drivers at its Cork depot and pay compensation based on two years of each driver's annual loss. The loss was to be calculated using average overtime earnings over the previous three years. The Court rejected four loaders' claim for an unsocial-hours payment after their start time changed, saying it was not sustainable. The Services Industrial Professional Technical Union was also asked to reconsider an open performance-related pay offer. The recommendation was dated 13 March 2003.
