In 2003, the Labour Court found that a bonus agreement at Dublin Ferryport Terminals (DFT) covered all permanent staff in the DFT area, rather than only 15 specified employees. The Services Industrial Professional Technical Union had sought access for 10 Rubber Tyre Gantry drivers and three other dockside operatives. The company said the newer RTG employees were not included in the earlier arrangement, but said it was willing to pursue a unified scheme if an agreement could be reached without increasing costs. The Court issued its recommendation on 10 March 2003.
