The Labour Court did not recommend a pay increase for six canteen supervisors at C & D Petfoods, in a recommendation signed on 7 March 2003. The Services Industrial Professional Technical Union said the supervisors had responsibilities warranting the same pay as other company supervisors. The Court said a 1999 work study found no grading disparity and there had been no substantial change in the work since. It recommended that the union accept the company's offer of a broader workload study.
