The Labour Court recommended that Brinks Allied immediately pay the Crew Leader rate to Coin Operation crew members not receiving it, in a recommendation signed on 4 March 2003. The Services Industrial Professional Technical Union said the rate had been established for the crew and sought back pay for three members. Brinks Allied said the higher rate was intended for the original volunteers and that it had lost the coin contract. The Court also recommended that the parties negotiate a buyout and said they could refer the issue back if they did not agree within six weeks.
