The Labour Court did not recommend concession of the Ictu Group Of Unions' claim to calculate pensions for general operatives in government departments at 100% of the clerical officer rate. The recommendation was signed on 3 February 2003. The unions argued that the 98% pay arrangement was intended to affect pay only. The Department Of Finance said pensions should reflect salary actually paid. The Court found the 1993 agreement supported pension calculations at 98% and said it did not indicate that a 100% figure should apply.
