The Labour Court recommended that the Department Of Health And Children and the Medical, Dental And Academic Medical/Dental Consultants complete negotiations on proposed changes before considering any further pay increase. Its recommendation was signed on 3 February 2003. The Court said claims for increases beyond the 10% recommended by the Review Body could be addressed only after negotiations concluded. It called for immediate discussions and an agreed timetable, and strongly recommended that payments already proposed by the Review Body be implemented without delay.
