The Labour Court recommended that Nypro Limited pay a worker €5,000 compensation after finding that the manner of her dismissal was totally unfair. The recommendation was signed on 29 January 2003. The assistant accountant said she was dismissed after objecting to reception duties and raising a grievance. Nypro cited concerns during her probation and said it followed its contractual process. The Court said the company could have had valid reasons to end her employment, but found the way it did so was totally unfair. It also noted that Nypro would provide a reference and work record for her CIMA qualification.
