Labour Court says Bord Gais Eireann restructuring did not demote sales manager

The Labour Court accepted Bord Gais Eireann's assurance that restructuring had not demoted an unnamed Area Sales Manager in the South East. The union, Amicus MSF, said the reporting change reduced his status and sought restoration of his previous position. The Court recommended that he accept the assurances, that efforts be made to help him return to work and that concerns about his duties be resolved promptly with assistance from the company's EAP programme. The recommendation was dated 21 January 2003.
