The Labour Court recommended changes to Permanent TSB's proposed harmonisation package for former TSB staff. Its recommendation was dated 10 January 2003.
Mandate, the Amalgamated Transport and General Workers' Union, and the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union sought changes to employment terms after Irish Life & Permanent PLC acquired TSB Bank. The Court recommended an additional €600 lump sum for each employee affected by a change to rota days and two extra €500 increments at the top of the former TSB Grade 2 scale. It also recommended separate local talks on management and terms-and-conditions issues, and acceptance of the Labour Relations Commission package subject to these changes.
