Labour Court recommends phased payment of SE Ryles 4% pay increase

The Labour Court recommended that Se Ryles/Photovalue pay the 4% increase due under the final phase of the Programme for Prosperity and Fairness from 1 April 2003, with retrospection paid in phases during that year. The recommendation was dated 7 January 2003. The Graphical Paper & Media Union (Gmpu) said the company had failed to pay a 1% lump sum and the 4% increase. The Court noted that the lump sum was already being paid, leaving the 4% increase in dispute. The company cited financial difficulties and had committed to paying the increase.
