Labour Court did not find Business Post worker unfairly dismissed

In 2002, the Labour Court did not find a worker unfairly dismissed by Business Post Limited. The recommendation, dated 5 December 2002, concerned a warehouseman who said he was victimised and was the only worker not rehired after the company’s operations were franchised. Business Post said it had ceased trading, given employees notice and paid them in full, and that the new franchise management was not obliged to re-employ him. The Court accepted that the worker had received notice and all monies due, and did not find that he had been unfairly dismissed.
