In 2002, the Labour Court recommended that Loctite concede Amicus - Manufacturing, Science, Finance's claim for an additional 3% pay increase. The union argued that two other unions had received higher increases for the same range of measures. The Court found the documents supported the union's position and saw no justification for treating groups covered by collective bargaining differently in house agreements. Loctite had cited its trading position and wage-cost reductions. The recommendation was signed on 26 September 2002.
