Labour Court recommends consultation on future Dublin Port appointments

In 2002, the Labour Court recommended consultation with the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union before future appointments after a dispute over Dublin Port Company's promotion of an Administrative Officer to junior management. The Court considered the promotion appropriate in the circumstances, noting there had been no reduction in Administrative Officer positions under the July 2001 agreement. It also recommended establishing the agreement's Monitoring Committee. The recommendation was signed on 24 September 2002.
