In 2002, the Labour Court recommended that An Post and the Civil & Public Service Union (Cpsu) accept the basic principles of a new pay framework for IT staff at clerical officer level. It recommended individual movement within salary bands and bonuses linked to agreed targets. The Court also recommended further discussions on staff concerns, to be completed within a month, and a lead-in payment of 10% of basic pay for workers opting to transfer to the proposals. Its recommendation was dated 29 August 2002.
