The Labour Court recommended that the finance officer and treasurer at Dublin City Council pursue a review through the Review Body on Higher Remuneration in the Public Sector and the Government’s next general review. The recommendation was signed on 14 August 2002. The Irish Municipal, Public And Civil Trade Union had sought completion of a national review of finance roles at the council, saying the senior post was the only one in the local-authority sector not reviewed. The council said the post was covered by the Review Body and had received its recommended increase.
