Labour Court recommends four Team Leaders at Bord Na Mona’s Blackwater Works

The Labour Court recommended increasing the number of Team Leaders to four in Areas 4 and 8 at Bord Na Mona’s Blackwater Works, pending a wider review. The recommendation, dated 17 April 2002, followed a dispute with the Irish Congress Of Trade Unions over staffing levels. Bord Na Mona argued staffing should reflect operational needs and pointed to investment of more than €5 million in plant and machinery. The union said the staffing framework called for four Team Leaders in each area.
