Labour Court recommends Coillte accept 1999 pay proposals for weighbridge workers

The Labour Court recommended that Coillte Teoranta accept its 1999 proposals in a pay dispute affecting 22 weighbridge workers. The recommendation, signed on 21 March 2002, said revised shift rates should apply retrospectively from March 1996. The Services Industrial Professional Technical Union sought pay comparable to Area Foremen. Coillte said its 1999 offer covered other terms, including sick pay and pensionability of shift pay, and remained available. The Court found no basis to change those proposals.
