In 2002, the Labour Court recommended redundancy terms of four weeks’ pay per year of service for Top Tech employees, in addition to statutory redundancy payments. It also recommended that two of six remaining positions be filled voluntarily. The recommendation was dated 5 March 2002. The Court noted the company’s commitment to make the terms available to the six remaining employees if a subsequent redundancy occurred. The Services Industrial Professional Technical Union was the other party.
