The Labour Court recommended that Vitabond Ltd and the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union review shift-premium arrangements after the Programme for Prosperity and Fairness expired. The recommendation was dated 18 February 2002. The union said the existing 19.44% premium was out of line with comparable local employers. The Court noted that the arrangements had been agreed with the union and that the claim was cost-increasing and precluded by the programme. It recommended that the parties consider rates in comparable employments when they reviewed the arrangements.
