The Labour Court recommended that Uniphar apply a 2% pay increase retrospectively from 1 April 2001 for 170 employees at its Tallaght plant. The recommendation was signed on 20 December 2001. The Services Industrial Professional Technical Union said workers in Limerick had received the increase while those in Dublin had not. Management argued employees had already received increases above the agreement’s terms and that the plants were separate companies. The Court recommended the increase for the Tallaght workers.
