The Labour Court rejected a porter’s bullying and harassment claim against Bank Of Ireland and recommended that an independent investigator’s findings stand. The recommendation was signed on 11 December 2001. The bank and the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union had agreed to the investigation after the worker raised the allegations. The union argued the investigation was flawed, while the bank said it followed fair procedures and its harassment and bullying policy. The Court found the investigation and its methodology satisfactory.
