The Labour Court recommended that a worker and Bank Of Ireland meet to try to agree whether an improved voluntary parting package should apply to him. The recommendation was signed on 8 August 2001. The worker left the Bank in 1999 after accepting a parting package and sought the improved package introduced in May 2000. The Court said both sides acted in good faith and recommended that they seek an agreement. If they failed, the matter could return to the Court for a definitive recommendation.
