In 2001, the Labour Court recommended that City Jet Handling Limited's dispute with the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union be processed urgently under the Code of Practice on Voluntary Dispute Resolution, with the company cooperating. The union sought representation rights for members at Dublin Airport, citing concerns about pay, holidays, overtime and rosters. City Jet Handling Limited said its staff communication arrangements worked well and it intended to continue dealing directly with staff. The company did not attend the hearing. The recommendation was signed on 25 June 2001.
