In 2001, the Labour Court recommended against the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union’s claim to harmonise wage-round implementation dates at Coca Cola Bottlers (Ireland) plants in Cork, Killarney and Dublin. The Court found the claim would increase costs and was precluded under the Programme for Prosperity and Fairness. It said the claim could be considered if negotiated in return for productivity or flexibility concessions. The recommendation was dated 14 June 2001.
