Labour Court recommends review of genealogy-centre managers’ terms

In 2001, the Labour Court recommended an independent review of the terms and conditions of managers at Genealogy And Heritage Centres, with a report back by 1 September. It suggested Ms Janet Hughes as a possible reviewer. The Irish Municipal, Public And Civil Trade Union sought a realistic salary scale for the 26 managers, saying their pay had not increased for some time and was out of line with comparable roles. Fás said it was a funding agent, not their employer. The recommendation was dated 25 May 2001.
