The Labour Court recommended that Aer Lingus, the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union and the Irish Municipal, Public and Civil Trade Union enter conciliation talks on a restructuring agreement for about 260 superintendent-level managers. The recommendation was dated 24 May 2001. The Court said the agreement should be comparable with those reached for other staff groups, and that the talks should identify parts of the company’s offer that fell short of standards established in earlier agreements.
