The Labour Court recommended that a claim by the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union over the grading differential at Cert await the benchmarking exercise and be discussed in relation to its categories. The recommendation was signed on 3 May 2001. The union sought to restore the difference between Regional Training Advisor and Training Advisor grades and the manager grade. The Court said the claim had been concluded by a 1997 deal accepted by union members, then recommended that the current claim be considered after benchmarking.
