The Labour Court recommended that Pickerings Lifts Limited pay a driver made redundant in December 2000 three weeks’ pay per year of service, inclusive of statutory redundancy payment. The recommendation was dated 24 April 2001. Services Industrial Professional Technical Union had sought four weeks’ pay per year. The Court also recommended that the company examine its obligations under the CIF pension scheme for the period before 1998.
