In 2001, the Labour Court recommended that four Easons workers at its Nassau Street outlet agree to use the company's clocking system, with their additional pay increases then paid retrospectively to August 2000. The dispute involved the company and Services Industrial Professional Technical Union. The Court said the August agreement could bear the union's interpretation but that the clocking requirement was not unreasonable. Its recommendation was signed on 17 January 2001.
