The Labour Court recommended that Services Industrial Professional Technical Union accept Udv Ireland Group's job-sharing severance policy, which the Court considered fair and reasonable. The recommendation was dated 3 October 2000. The Court also recommended that maternity payment form part of any agreement if the company required changes similar to those secured by Guinness in 1994. On an overtime claim for Mr Farrell, it found that his 1986 arrangements did not preserve double-time Saturday pay for shift work from 7am to 8.30am.
