The Labour Court recommended that Aer Lingus and the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union accept Option C with amendments, including £500 long-service increments for staff with 37 years’ service, retaining existing overtime premia and phasing out bank holiday time off in lieu by 31 December 2002. The Court declined to recommend a substantial increase in rostered duty allowances at that stage, saying the issue should be revisited after restructuring and savings were achieved. The recommendation was dated 12 September 2000.
