The Labour Court recommended that the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union accept that an error by Tipperary (N.R.) County Council led to a dispute over a retained firefighter’s promotion to sub-officer at Templemore Fire Station. The recommendation was dated 8 May 2000. The Court said both sides should rectify the position without delay so the firefighter could take up the promotion.
